Los Angeles, California New Homes

Los Angeles has long been acknowledged as the ?Entertainment Capital of the World? and with good reason! Not only do the majority of our nation's entertainers -- movie and TV stars, writers, directors, recording stars and dancers -- make their home in the Los Angeles area, but also roughly 150 productions are filmed within the city limits. It's commonplace to see a bevy of double-decker buses cruising around, as people set out to uncover the stars' homes and, with any luck, the stars themselves. And yet, any new home community in Los Angeles County has so much more to offer beyond this thrilling world of glitz and glamour.

It's true that you'll find in LA a number of ?Hollywood? destinations that are the stuff of legend. Universal Studios Hollywood, the world's largest movie studio/theme park, is just one of the numerous attractions topping this list. And while most of the 10 millions residents of Los Angeles County -- and probably the remaining 6 million living in surrounding Riverside, Ventura, Orange and San Bernardino Counties -- have browsed through the 2,000 bronze stars along the Walk of Fame, and maybe even participated in a television show taping, they know that there are other secrets to this region's success.

Second only to New York City in size, Los Angeles is the epitome of West Coast charm and the ?headquarters of cool.? And evidently, ?too much of a good thing? doesn't exist here; because the weather is perfect, too. Along with the rarified prospect of whale-watching, that explains why area beaches see over 50 million visitors each year. However impossible it may be to grow weary of the beaches, at the other end of the spectrum are plenty of breathtaking mountains to explore.

The Los Angeles area's multi-ethnic population is composed of people from 140 countries, speaking a total of 86 different languages. Perhaps it this level of diversity that calls for a range of creative outlets, which the region delivers in full.

Meanwhile, iconic Rodeo Drive, Melrose Avenue and the Sunset Strip make up a shopper's playground. Some of the ?off-Hollywood? points of interest include Disneyland, the notorious ship Queen Mary -- believed to be haunted -- Knott's Berry Farm, the Los Angeles Zoo at Griffith Park, Lakers and Dodgers games, and the 1,500 murals that paint the city.

You can't go wrong by making your new home in Los Angeles or the surrounding areas. Here, everyone is a star!
