The City of Columbus

Columbus was founded in 1812 and is located in central Ohio in Franklin County and parts of Delaware and Fairfield counties. As the state capital, Columbus is the largest city in Ohio with over 700,000 residents. The greater Columbus metro area has a population of over 1.7 million. Columbus earned its nickname "The Arch City" because of the dozens of arches that spanned High Street at the turn of the twentieth century.

The home to Ohio State University, Columbus has a diversified economy covering several industries including information services, retail and food services, manufacturing, insurance, finance, and health.
