Builder Description:
The story of Cambridge Homes is actually a Love Story. Cambridge's managing partners are a husband-wife team: Kent Roberts and Nancy Stuckey, who met one another in Cambridge, Massachusetts, while both were associated with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) Kent as a Graduate Student and Nancy as a Visiting Lecturer on Residential Design. (If you're wondering why we named the company Cambridge Homes, wonder no more.) The true story of their wedding day is that after the ceremony at Lovers Lane Methodist Church in Dallas, they spent the rest of the day touring model homes. No Joke!! Not only do Kent and Nancy share a love for each other, they also share a love of homebuilding and design and helping each of our homebuyers create the home of their dreams. Each Cambridge home is, truly, a labor of love, as Kent and Nancy collaborate on the many details of each design. Their complementary strengths combine to make each Cambridge design incredibly well considered. Many of the small, but important, nuances that distinguish a Cambridge home are the result of Kent's training as an engineer. With an engineer's focus on the details, Nancy, who grew up in a homebuilding family designed her first home at the age of six, brings an insistence on functionality to each plan. Their collaboration on the design of our homes and the selection of the unique communities in which we build them is the basis for the allure of both our company and our homes. (While Vice President with one of New England's premiere Builder/Developers, Nancy lectured at both M.I.T. and Harvard Business School. She likes to say that she taught Kent everything he knows!)
